The only hope humanity has to meet the Aliens, on an even footing, is with US resources, so Scotty must win the Presidency. Preparing for Aliens aren't the only challenge the host/Companion cadre face. Robert Branch (AKA Abdul Ali Hassan) is loose in the world, and he is inhabited by a Demon, the antithesis of Companions. Branch and his Demon escaped to Syria in 2012, and began organizing groups of Saddam Hussein's officers and fighters. The power behind the throne of ISIS is evil incarnate.

Imperium (1)
An Uncertain Future in a New Past. During the test flight of a prototype faster-than-light craft, Lt. Commander Ky is flung into the ancient past that never existed. Rome has fallen, defeated by the mighty Carthaginian Empire. Hounded by the Carthaginians bent on conquering the known world, Rome is on the verge of destruction. Stranded and alone, except for a tactical AI implanted in his head, Ky has lost everything and must find a way to live in a world different than anything he's ever known.

An Australian soldier is killed in Afghanistan. Years later a young girl is abducted near her school in a rural Australian town. A strange man in worn Army camos discovers her. She has a rare blood group and is bleeding to death. It's a race against time. The local community helps by donating blood; neighbours and strangers are determined to help her. A nearby Army base also helps the daughter of a respected officer who died in Afghanistan. While she's in hospital there are strange incidents.

A Jade Force of Misera Story (13)
The IFN has been defeated on the continent of Surprise. This does not mean the war is over. The IFN starts staging troops on the continent of Eastland in preparation for an invasion of Surprise. The Jade Empire doesn't believe in letting an enemy get prepared or organized well enough to fight.

A Clan Amir of Berant Story
People with a warrior tradition face many military challenges, and how they rise to the occasion. Events demonstrate both the sheer horror of war, and the great heights people can reach when striving to protect their own. A boy caught in the rebellion leaves the country then returns to join the Royal Guards. As a colonel he must stop an invading army while outnumbered 40 to 1. A young girl who joins the Royal Guards. Follow her early childhood, enlistment, her initial deployment.

Space is huge and governments control as much of the space around and between their systems as they can, but there are still a very small parts of space not claimed by any government. Very few people are born on the ships travelling between the stars, and even fewer are born in the unclaimed areas of space, but that one thousandth of one percent who are so born are called Space Born and have some very odd citizenship rights and duties.
