Ryan Uruks is steadily on his way to becoming a powerful Elemental. After stopping the war between the Ministries, Ryan, along with his unrequited love interest, Eclair Hamashe, set out to take the Second Level Placement Exams, furthering their careers as Elementals. They'll meet many new friends and rivals along the way, including a flirtatious young Werewolf maiden, as their trials take them to the home of the mysterious Light Monks.

Max Wagner, former carpenter, lives on the streets of San Francisco. His only goal is the next mug of moonshine. Fate intervenes in the persons of a famous singer and a friendly young widow, but then Max has to prove himself in the face of a catastrophe.

This is the most frequently downloaded of all my stories, so I thought I would post it here. It is the first of four in a series. I am posting the second one along with it. I'll add the other two if you like these. I consider myself the poet-laureate of the nerd world. And I want my stories to have a lot of twists and turns. That's what I am giving you here. I hope that you enjoy this as much as I did writing it.

Evolution
Caleb Connor's life is out of control: understatement! An extraterrestrial space ship crashed on his campsite, and an ancient, ethereal alien took up residence in his head. He doesn't get along with the alien, partially because the alien thinks he landed in a defective human. The Army investigates the crash, and the General in charge has more plans than just protecting the country. Throw in a pretty doctor and a hole in the fabric of creation... Yep. Very out of control.

Whilst on a business trip to the big city, a guy decides to take a look at the neighbourhood that he grew up in, just for old times sake.

Harley and Ida Duran were share croppers and nice people in a time and place where nice people weren't appreciated. Share croppers were considered less valuable than dirt. However, there are those who can be nice and still persevere, no matter who their enemies may be. Harley teaches his enemies that it's okay to turn the other cheek... After that you make sure they can't smite you on the other cheek.

Happy Harry, last of the Hobos, stops at a Colorado stream to take a bath. Instead of bathing, he ends up meeting the Goddess and becomes her servant. This introduces Happy Harry for the stories told by those that he helps.
