A broke, down in the dumps — and down on his luck — divorced guy accepts the offer of a free drink from a nefarious one-time school classmate who he hasn't come across for years. But the friend takes him to a very questionable pub, where he meets an even more questionable character. The very next day his life is turned completely upside down... or maybe, the right way up!
While driving home from a funeral, a bank branch manager stops for car troubles, gives blood while waiting for car repairs, and meets a shy, lovely girl probably half his age.
After his wife divorced him for being poor and beneath her status, he became the subject of public ridicule. Rumors spread that he had been unfaithful, claiming he was involved with other women—but none of it was true. Left completely alone, his only remaining possession is a diamond pendant, the last gift from his late mother. Yet behind his quiet suffering lies a mysterious man—an unparalleled medical genius, a master martial artist, and someone with a hidden past no one dares to uncover.
Eventually it turns into saving lost spirits. The first part was a college paper I wrote in the summer of 1995. I don't remember where I was going with it. Part two I wrote this week and it fills in where the story goes and who the characters are. There will be some discrepancy between parts one and two. Part three is the actual stories. It ends kind of abruptly as I needed to move on to other stuff. It still needs to be rewritten/edited.
