This little contribution was suggested by an email received from my Editor, TeNderLoin No idea is truly original. This tale owes a debt to one I read in the nineteen forties; only that was about a an earlier tale of an atomic bomb!
I wrote this from a dream I had for a week. As a wise man once said everything is not as it would seem. Ray could definitely say that it was true. Besides after they upped his senses the world was definitely a different place.
A Christmas Story
John was alone, though a good man life was almost pointless to him. A sudden storm traps him in the snow, then things get interesting!
Christmas Eve - 2012 The predicted Apocalypse of 12/21/12 never occurred. Those who believed breathed a sigh of relief. While families all over the world gather to celebrate Christmas, a group of misfits gather to ward off the loneliness, and sorrows of wasted lives, in an out of the way diner, in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, and witness the beginning....
A world of Monoshifters, with humans stuck on it. All the humans want to do is leave. But humans can still easily catch the virus that turns them into one of the shifters. Is it too late for the humans? Is it too late for him?
Into every life a bit of truth may fall. The truths of life fell into mine. This is my homage to the creed called the 'Facts of Life' that Lazlo Zalezac invented for his novel, 'The Millionaire Next Door'. I recommend the story as one of Zalezac's best.
